2010 WHS Swim Team Registration
The program is available to Wissahickon High School students. Practices will be held Mondays – Fridays and meets begin on December 11, 2009.
To participate the WHS Eligibility form and PIAA Certification form must be returned to the WHS Athletic Office and the WHS Activity Fee must be paid. Also swimmers are required to complete and sign the Swimmers questionnaire and Agreement.
The Coaches for this program are talented, experienced, and dedicated to helping you achieve your top potential. Whether your goal is to better your swimming times, improve different strokes, get into great shape, or be part of a winning team, our coaches can help you.
Laurie Hug. Laurie is the WHS Boys Swimming Head Coach. As a USAT Level II Certified Coach she has coached age group, triathlon and masters swimmers at all levels. Laurie has been competing in, and is nationally ranked in, Masters Swimming events and Triathlons around the world for over 20 years.
Kate Devlin. Kate began her swim career with Upper Dublin Aquatic Club and Gwynedd Mercy Academy and later moved on to the triathlon, competing in the Collegiate Nationals. She was both the Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming and Water Polo Coach at a FL high school. Kate is currently teaching English at Norwood-Fontbonne Academy in Chestnut Hill.

Now returning to Wissahickon for his second season as Assistant Coach.
Michelle Pietrangelo. Michelle is a science teacher at WHS and was assistant coach for Wissahickon 2008 girls water polo and head coach for girls 2009 swim team. She returns for the 2009-2010 season and hopes to guide the girls to their best season ever. Michelle is also the Program Director and School Representative for our Trojan Aquatics Fall, Spring and Summer programs.
