Firstly - the main points:
- No early playoff certifications and not late certifications so we can
make a single list for all coaches regarding non-qualifiers the night of
the playoff certification.
- Both playoff and Thornton Tournament teams must certify.
- X-men do not need to re-weigh for playoffs.
- Playoff certification is a one shot deal - you miss weight, you are
done. No running off weight, etc.
- If your player is a pound over, his or her season is done. As per
request of the PYFL body, no ounces will be given. If 110 is the max
and your player weighs more than 110.9, they will not qualify for the
playoffs.
2009 PYFL Playoff Certification Rules
1. Check-in 15 minutes before scheduled time.
- Do not enter check-in area without all the players who need to
weigh-in.
- Parents are not allowed in the check-in or scale areas.
- Please no food, gum, candy or sunflower seeds!!!!
2. Before teams enter check-in area, make sure you're lined up in
the same order as your certified roster.
- Once your team is lined up in the designated area, the Head
Coach will go and check-in. He will receive the Certified Book and
Roster.
- Coach will return to his team and wait to be called for
weigh-in.
- Please tell your players to respect their surroundings and keep
their voices down. Any player caught vandalizing will not certify and
their chapter will be responsible for repair costs.
3. PYFL Rep will call for your team and take you to the scale
dispatch area.
4. The dispatch area will send your team to a scale.
- The Head coach should be at the front of the line with the
book/roster. Assistant should be at the rear of the line.
5. The Head coach will hand the PYFL Board Member their book at the
scale.
6. Players will weigh-in and exit scale to their designated spot.
7. After all the players have certified, the coaches will exit the
players out to the parking lot. Players will not return to the check-in
area.
8. Playoff certification is a one shot deal - if a player does not
make weight, he or she may not return later to re-weigh. No "running
off" will be allowed.
9. Please remind your players not to take their clothes or shoes
off before they weigh-in unless they know they are going to be close.
Also, please have players who are close to weight dress in light shorts,
t-shirt and sandals

11:00am - Burbank / Canyon / (7)
Scales close at 11:15 a.m. or until last scheduled weigh-in is complete.
