We just have to not get down on our selfs when we have an error. We had the naturals bet until then. If we can improve on that one flaw we can be BETTER than the naturals. That pretty much sums it up for me just keep your heads up heat. May the flame of the heat live on

This by far the best Monday I have had all year. We had the best series of games ever.
You hear us say that the score is not the only thing that matters, it really didn’t. We played as a team. We played as a team. That is what sets up friendships, sportsmanship, and helps us for the rest of our lives. You will remember every time someone has your back. It just does not happen that much in our short lifetime.
I wanted to tell each of you that our season has just begun as a team. Now let’s work on the little things and have fun. This is Great to be a part of the Heat family.

Entry ID: 1384888 | Great job competing this weekend. 2-2 and had every opportunity to beat the Dbacks and played with the Naturals for most of the game. You guys are doing the little things it takes to win now and it is fun for us parents to see the improvement of each of you as individuals as well as a TEAM.
At some point you have all got to put bad plays or a series of bad plays out of your mind and move on. You play the game trusting your teammates and believing in each other no matter what. When someone makes a bad play or a mistake that is the time to "pick each other up" and get menatlly tough. Once you get to the point where one bad play doesn't cost you another, than I see great things happening for this TEAM.
I am PROUD of all of you and come to play this weekend with one thing on your mind and that is:
"ALL OF US ARE BETTER THAN ONE OF US" |

We had a beautiful weekend for baseball, finally.
Friday we had a rough start with the Rebels. We need to drink the Mountain Dew a little sooner.
We came back tough and we hit the ball. That was a great game, showed some heart to keep going.
The Stampede, we had them out matched from the start. We hit the ball played great defense. It was a good game. They finally got their bats going late. Good hits happen, that was a great game, I was proud of us as a team. By the way, if Jesse has not shown you yet, Alan was safe at third.
Sunday was a new day; this was the better of the teams we saw this weekend. We stepped up and played them very tough. Again, we just have some small things to work on, and we will be where we want to as a team.
We have now had eight pitchers help us in the games. That is great! We have never had this much depth. We are building strength every time we enter the field.
Let's ask Zach what he ate so we can all hit homers.
He hit out that good low ball out of the park.
Thanks to all of your kids, we can make it happen
I see great things for our team.

It is amazing to see the difference in you guys on the field when you are confident and passionate about competing. AS I watched those 2 Saturday games I didn't see much entusiasm or a "winning attitude" from every team member. Then I come to the park on Sunday and see a completely different group of determined players out there playing with an unbelievable spirit. YOu played inspired and unselfish. That is contagious and the way you need to play every game. You can play with and beat anybody you play when you have a "winning attitude".
I look forward to this weekend and seeing the new HEAT in action. |

Well guys, that was crazy this weekend, I was so concerned with our focus; I second-guessed everything we could think of. I am so glad Saturday is behind us, we sure needed Sunday.
As coaches, we want all of us to have fun, parents, players, coaches too. We now need to focus on every pitch, every at bat, and every play. We had some great hits, throws, and good base running.
Saturday, their were some players that did not care what was happening on the field, we were spitting seeds at each other. The team was not looking to help one another.
Sunday, I think was the HEAT's best outing EVER. We played together as a team. If someone had a hiccup, we just kept on moving. The dugout was a lot more focused on our games. This was the greatest day to find the HEAT, coldest day ever for baseball.
Good job everyone, let us learn from this and get better this week in practice. I am so glad we came together as a team.
We ARE close. So close to being a GREAT TEAM.
