Entry ID: 1722574 | Finally, someone hit the "nail" on the head. Thank you MAB MOM, for your response. With the Elections coming up, some people only want to "run" for the wrong reason. I have noticed some of the changes that has been made and yes, there still are some changes to be done. Parents you can't sit and complain on the side or in groups, and refuse to help out. This organization, is for both the Cheerleaders and the Football Players. Stop trashing MAB with the NEGATIVITY and step up and do something to SUPPORT what the COMMITTEE, the BOARD, and ALL OF THE COACHES do for OUR CHILDREN. VOTE for the people that will continue to make an effort to do what is necessary for the organization and our boys and girls. |
MAB Mom Mt. Airy October 27, 2009 4:39:29 PM
Entry ID: 1721187 | Hey MAB,
With the elections coming up this weekend for our organization, I ask that you remember that these elections are not POPULARITY contests. When you vote for someone, make sure that the individual is qualified to handle the demands of this organization, is willing to devote their time and resources that will make MAB better and stronger, and most of all has the best intentions for our children. That's what MAB is all about, the CHILDREN. Parents, quit complaining about what you don't like and actually DO SOMETHING!!!!!!! Help out at concessions, support both CHEERLEADING and FOOTBALL, but most importantly support all of our children. |

I would like to thanks (ALL) the 75-JV coaches for their time, effort and Knowledge that they give to the team and my son Tyrone Green jr. Even though my son did not play (due to being 1 bound over wieght). He was still excited and looks forward to playing the next game.
I would also like to thank (All)the coaches of the 55-1 for having the patient for my other son Taj-mir Parks. Even though Taj-mar, who attend the Haverford school has his hands full with homework and chores. He's always excited about going to football pratice (after homework and dinner of course).... Words can not express the thanks I have for the coaches, staff and bannons family.
Thanks and Good Luck to all the teams!!

Entry ID: 1702041 | What is all the fuss going on about this being an election year at Mt.Airy. No one wants or knows how to do the jobs better then the staff that is in office. Are they perfect NO but does any one of you out there really think you can do any better. I do not think so. I was told you have been sitting around talking about all YOU think is wrong this season that has just started. All you guys do is talk and no action. If you guys were REAL you would go to the meetings and join the board and have your voices heard but all you do is sit in small groups and mock at the HARD work that is being done. I do not see any of the na sayers even attempting to do any better. You will sit and talk and still bring your kids, money and time back next year. So just sit down cheer and keep rocking the RED N WHITE |

Entry ID: 1682083 | Well said it is not the kids fault but coaches keep on doing the good work your doing just try and understand we are trying to work with you not against you with this Football and Cheerleading and Mt. Airy is not a neighborhood organization because its a good organization so parents from other neighborhoods bring their boys and girls to our org. so some travel a distance. Coaches we do understand the teach your child to be on time theory but we also have to keep a roof over their head. |

Entry ID: 1681902 | Please stop penalizing children that come to practice a few minutes late, as you know most of the children parents work and are rushing home to take these kids to practice, it is very unprofessional to address these girls like this ,cut out the middle man and call the parents as leader you know good and well its not there fault so stop penalizing them for this you guys have more thing to do show some understanding and togetherness this is going to cause friction and separation, times are hard right now people are losing jobs and trying to hold on to them if god blesses them to be able to still do this in these times it should be commended not ridiculed |

Entry ID: 1656613 | My concern to all the MAB parents may not be a small one. I have two grandchildren who play football for MAB.I realize the costs of running the program maybe high but some give backs must be afforded to parents and grandparents. Last year some of the team moms had questions about while we are paying the highest team fees our children are not afforded the opportunity to have game jerseys and socks which they keep. The socks which were purchased by the parents at their discretion, was not a bad deal but this is not enough in my estimation. Teams such as Ivy Hill, and Wiss. Braves get to keep their jerseys and game socks which are included in the registration. With all the fund raising done why can we not afford this to our children? Other teams in KSL have registration fees lower than ours and while we pay for our childs equipment, some teams loan equipment to the child and they keep jerseys.
