I am a resident of Manoa, and I have been trying to enroll my son in the baseball league for several years, and I have never been able to suceed. I have been constantly been given the run around, with no one knowing anything. I feel me and my family have been discriminated against. My goal is NOT to stop little league for everybody, it is only to give me and my son a fair chance to participate in little league. I pay as much or more taxes for the use of the Manoa District Park, so I feel should be given a fair opportunity to participate as anyone else. The use of the public park is for the public so little must be open to the public as well. The little league should adopt a policy or everyone gets to play or NO one should play. Because if the little league discriminates and is only open to certain persons, then they should be NOT be allowed to use a public park and to go somewhere else. As the those were discriminated against or somehow exclude can demand to use the park, in a competing league and demand to take away you league use of the park. As stated my goal to not to stop everyone from playing but only to force little to be fair and open to the public with no exceptions. Everyone who wants to play, should be allowed to play. If you have to rotate, then you need to rotate so everyone has a fair chance to play. Part of the upbringing of children and the values we need ot instill in them is to learn to share and NOT discriminate. I fear the Little league is instilling bad values and are giving our children the wrong message. It is my sincere hope and desire to settle this issue without the need for government or judicial enforcement. Philmund Lee, Esquire 277 1733
