Horsemen get big win vs. Georgia Tigers
The Henry County Horsemen get a big win over the Georgi Tigers 12-6. Derrick Massey was named game MVP with 1 int, 1 fumble recovey returned for a TD, and 1 big pass defense. Horsemen lose to Georgia Generals 10-6
Saturday June 21st, 2008 at Dekald Memorial Staduim proved to be another disappointing afternoon as the Henry County Horsemen lose another close game to a quality opponent in the Georgia Generals 10-6 a playoff team from the NAFL, a 11 win team last year, and ranked in the top 50 in the nation from last year! Jeff (Superman) Davis was named game MVP and outstanding performances were turned in by Theo Maxie, Lyle Williams, Marcus Davis, Keith Thompkins, and Khevis Williams. The one area of consistancy continues to be a hard hitting, aggressive, DEFENSE lead by Kenny Arnorld, JR., D.J. Weems, Derrick Maxey, Ronnie Passmore, Trammual Marshall,Mark (DEBO) Daulphin, Renard Montfort, Terrence Lewis and Winston Patrick just to name a few. This defense hasn't given over 2 TD in any game this year (8 games) and 2 TD in a game twice. Defensive unit keep playing together as the offensive unit continues to gel!
X-Treme 35 Horsemen 6
Horsemen lose to X-Treme 35-6! On Saturday June 14th, 2008 storms came through Henry County in the early afternoon however that was only the beginning for the Henry County Horsemen as the very experienced Georgia X-Treme defeated the Henry County Horsemen by the score of 35-6. In that lose the Horsemen defense continued to show that they are a force in this league holding the high powered X-Treme offensive to only 2 offensive scores. One of those scores came on the 1st possession when the X-Treme converted on a 4 down before the score and the other came before the 1st half ended after an interception set the X-Treme up just outside the redzone for a score before the half ended. Four Horsemen turnovers lead to 4 X-Treme TD including 3 defensive returns for TD. Defense keep doing the job and we will make the changes that will improve the offense and overall the team! Great job D!
Horsemen destroy Red Villians 41-0 in 1st regular season game!
Horsemen defeat Atlanta Red Villians by the score of 41-0. As usual the Horsemen defense set the tone with a safety to give the Horsemen a 2-0 lead. Then the Horsemen offense sparked by QB Theo Maxie took an 8-0 lead at the half. This game was more about a defense that didn't allow 1 first down to the Villians all game. Safety Derrick (Smoke) Maxey was the defensive player of the game with 2 interceptions! Other players that had outstanding performances where Lyle Williams, Theo Maxie, Torre Martin, Thomas Bell, Ernest Dents, D.J. Colbert, Marcus Davis, Rodney Williams, Kieth Thompkins, Derrick Maxey, Stanley Williams, Kenny Arnold Jr., Omar Mathis, Terrence Lewis and the entire defense unit and coaches. Great job on that side of the ball. On deck the GEORGIA X-TREME at Dutchtown High School, June 14th, 2008! Please come out and support your favorite Horsemen! Great job guys. Please order your film work from 63 Angels this would have been a great game for study! Practice Wednesday and Thursday stating at 6:00pm.
Horsemen Win in Rockmart vs W. Georgia Renegades!
The Henry County Horsemen win vs W. Georgia Renegades 19-6! Great job on offense and outstanding job as usual on defense. Story, stats, and pictures to come on tommorrow. Also, the final decisions on the final roster to come soon. We will have to put together the best team we can in order to reach our goal of a championship! Stay tuned! Game MVP awarded to the DEFENSE! 0 TD'S ALLOWED IN 2 STRAIGHT GAMES! GREAT JOB!
