The JHL organizing team does its best to accommodate for scheduling around various religious and secular holidays while at the same time ensuring that adequate weeks are available to complete the full regular season and playoffs.  

The league's policy is to cancel any games on the following Friday nights:

1.  Eve of Wafat or Khushali that coincides with a program held at JCC
2.  First 10 nights of Muharram
3.  Ashre-Zainabiya (10 nights) where there is a regular program at JCC
4.  Fatimiyyah program at JCC
5.  2 Week winter holiday break
6.  Good Friday
7.  Long weekends*
8.  Inclement weather
9.  Arena closures for repairs and/or renovations

*The commissioner reserves the right to host games on Friday evenings prior to long weekends if it is deemed that there will otherwise not be enough Friday evenings to complete the season within the allotted timeframe as per arena contract
