Summary of league play:

Fall 2003: Die Hard went 7-1 in the regular season Monday fall A league and came in 1st place. In the playoffs we won our first game easily and faced the 2nd place team Clinic for playoff championship. Clinic beat us to take the playoff championship.

Summer 2003: Our old Razors team broke up but we threw together a team for the Schaumburg Wednesday A league. Had a crappy summer finishing 4-6.

The Die Hard softball team was started in the fall of 2002. Coach Eric Ostberg started playing with a team call Razors Edge in Hanover Park in 1997. The team played high arc 12" softball on open diamonds with no fences. They also played in the fall of 1997 at Dee Park. In 1999 he began coaching the team and the team continued playing in Hanover Park through 2001. The core of the team slowly started to break up but they played one more year in Carol Stream in 2002. In the fall of 2002, he founded Die Hard which included his brother Dan and some players from Big Hurt and Razors. In 2003 Die Hard competed in Schaumburg.
