2022 LOCAL RULES

 

***WOOD AND COMPOSITE WOOD BATS ONLY. BAMBOO BATS ARE ILLEGAL, PENALTIES AS OUTLINED BY 2022 ALB GUIDE WILL BE ENFORCED***
On WOOD BATS - WOOD BATS MUST BE USED. BATS MUSTMEET THE SPECIFICATIONS LISTED IN RULE 3.02 a-c OF THE “OFFICIALRULES OF MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL.” *COMPOSITE WOOD BATS MAY NOW BE USED.

DESIGNATED HITTER MAY BE USED FOR ANY POSITION PLAYER
RE-ENTRY RULE IS ALLOWED.
NO COURTESY RUNNER FOR CATCHER.

 

1. Managers will have to chart the dates, appearances and number of innings pitched for all pitchers.
2. Managers must document the name and ID number of each umpire assigned to there home games.

RULE 2 - PLAYER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

(A) American Legion baseball competition in 2022 is open to players born on or after January 1, 2003. (A player, born in 2002 IS NOT ELIGIBLE). *****A 2021 High School Graduate who has never been on a SR. Legion roster is NOT ELIGIBLE.****
