Akennah Cherry is the latest member to recieve a schalorship to Winston-Salem State University. This was her first year with the Stallion Track Club Inc. Akennah Cherry wanted to attend CPCC at first but I talked her into exploring all of her opportunities as far as college was concerned. She did not believe that she could go to a four year school but during indoor season she quickly found out that she was an ecellent long jumper. She jumped 17'2 indoors and college scouts stsrted talking to her. Akennah is training to be a multi events person.
