Cary McConnell

Head Coach Suffolk University
Cary McConnell,40, was named Head Coach at Suffolk University on February 1, less than a month before the start of the 1996 season. After finishing with 31 wins and 28 losses his first two seasons, the Rams made tremendous strides. Entering his 11th season as skipper of the Rams, McConnell has guided his teams to a 255-123-2 record (.672 winning %), four GNAC regular-season 1st place finishes, three NCAA Regional appearances, three GNAC Tournament Championships, one ECAC Tournament Championship, five ECAC Tournament bids, a national ranking of 18th, and the school record in wins with 38 in a season. He was named GNAC Coach of the Year in the 2000, 2002 and 2005 seasons.
Coach McConnell began his coaching career in 1990 as an assistant at The College of Wooster (Wooster, Ohio) working with pitchers and catchers. In 1990, the Scots set a conference record in earned-run-average with 3.47 on the way to an NCAA Regional appearance. He then began his coaching career at the University of Rochester where he had a 55-64 record in three seasons.
A graduate of the College of Wooster (Wooster, Ohio), McConnell was a four-year starter in the infield for the Scots and was selected to the All-Decade Team for the North Coast Athletic Conference for the 80's. At Wooster, McConnell played in four straight NCAA Tournaments and one World Series finishing 5th. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and earned certification to teach at the Secondary level. In addition, he holds a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Rochester (Rochester, New York).
Jeffrey Mejia

Assistant Coach Suffolk University
Jeff Mejia (37), is entering his fourth season at Suffolk, Jeff has been coaching for 12 years. His years of coaching have been divided between College, Semi-professional and Amateur Athletic Union. At Suffolk, Jeff’s main focus is working with the infield, which in 2008 led the Great Northeast Athletic Conference in fielding percentage (.958). He played collegiate baseball at San Jose City College in California and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Salem State College in Sports Fitness and Leisure Studies with a concentration in Coaching and a minor in Biology. Jeff serves as the Summer Camp Director for the Boston Jr. Rams and is the Assistant Camp Director for the US Sports Nike Baseball Camp.
Jeff is married and has two children and is currently teaching High School Anatomy and Physiology for the Peabody Public School System.
Jeff was a proud member of the United States Army and served in Operation Desert Storm.
Jay Parker
Head Coach Boston Jr. Rams
Assistant Coach Suffolk University
Jay Parker, 43, is entering his 20th year of coaching. Jay's years of coaching have been divided between 12 years of high school baseball (Mission High, Boston and Trinity Catholic, Newton, MA) and seven years with All-Dorchester Sports League (ADSL) Conie Mack 16-18 team. In 2000, the ADSL Connie Mack team participated in an international tournament held in Havana, Cuba where they were the first American team to beat Cuba on their home soil.
Jay moved up to the college level when he joined the Suffolk University baseball program in 1999. During Jay's first year, the Rams finished the season as GNAC and ECAC Champions, as well as, making it to the NCAA Regionals in Portland, Maine.
Jay is an alum of Catholic Memorial '81 and a graduate of Bridgewater State College(1986).
Kevin Kelley

Assistant Coach Umass Boston
Kevin Kelley, 26, is entering his second season as assistant coach at Suffolk University, and first year as an assistant with the Boston Jr. Rams. Kelley joins the Jr. Rams one year removed from his time with the Strike One Spirit.
The Erving native spent four seasons handling ground balls in the infield for Suffolk, with the bulk of his playing time spent at second base. During his time there, he achieved the greatest honor by becoming captain his senior year. Kelley helped lead the Rams to two NCAA appearances, including the 2002 campaign, in which he batted .300 for the postseason. Before Suffolk, Kelley was a two-sport athlete at Turners Falls High School, where he played both basketball and baseball.
Kelley holds a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
Brendan Eygabroat

In just two seasons, Head Coach Brendan Eygabroat has already led the Beacon nine to milestones never broached before. He also holds the highest career winning percentage of any other baseball coach in school history.
Prior to his arrival on the Harbor Campus, he spent four seasons as an Assistant Coach at nearby Suffolk University, where he worked with the Rams’ hitters and catchers.
Under his guidance, Suffolk University catchers threw out just over 40% of would-be base stealers and the Rams saw much success as a team, winning the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament championship in 2003, catapulting them into the NCAA Regionals.
He also saw time as an assistant coach in the New England Collegiate Baseball League for the Mill City All-Americans working with the outfielders and hitters.
Brendan, as well as being a Head Coach, will work with all the catchers in the Boston Jr. Rams program
Eygabroat graduated from Mary Washington in 2001 and earned a masters degree in higher education administration from Suffolk University in 2003.

Anthony Del Prete
Associate Head Coach Boston Jr. Rams
Assistant Coach Suffolk University
Anthony Del Prete enters his third season as an assistant coach at Suffolk. Del Prete has spent three summer seasons in the Frontier League on the Evansville (Indiana) Otters. The Otters won the Frontier title in 2006. Del Prete is a former Suffolk student athlete and has a 21-11 career record at Suffolk with six saves. He was named GNAC Pitcher of the Year in 2002.
Anthony, as well as being an Associate Head Coach, will work with all the pitchers in the Boston Jr. Rams program.
He graduated from Suffolk in 2004.
