    Tournament Rules
    Game Info:

    70’ bases, 50’ pitching plate with  raised mound

    1. Home team: The home team shall be determined by a coin toss prior to the start of the game. Home team will occupy 3rd base dugout. During seeded games, higher seed is home team.

    2. Official Book: The home team shall keep the official book.

    3. Game Length: Games shall be 6 innings, with no new inning starting after 1Hr 45 min. Games will end at 2 hrs with last complete inning determining the final score. Games tied at the end of regulation play will be recorded as a tie in pool play. In bracket play we will play up to 3 extra innings and if there still is a tie the final score will revert to the last completed inning with a clear winner. If there is no clear winner, a coin flip will be used: Championship game will be played to completion.

    4.  There will be no run limit per inning in all games.

    5. 10 run mercy rule in effect after 4 innings (3-1/2 innings if home team is ahead).

    Game reports: Game reports (with pitching records) shall be signed by the umpire and submitted by the home team to the tournament director after each game.

    Pitching:

    1. Maximum of 3 innings/game, 12 innings/day. If a pitcher faces one batter and delivers one pitch this would be considered one inning of pitch count. Except for extra innings in seeded games only, pitcher may extend up to 2 innings without penalty. Extended innings will not be counted against innings pitched. Pitcher violation results in forfeiture of all games in which violations occurred.

    2. Balks will be called with 1st one per team being a warning.

    Base running:

    1. Runners may  lead off and steal per high school rules.

    2. Batters may advance on a dropped third strike.

    3. No head first sliding (diving back to a base is acceptable). Penalty: runner is out.
    Slide or avoid contact rule is in effect. Penalty: runner is out.

    Behavior:

    1. Balls and strikes or judgement calls will not be argued. No protests will be acknowledged. Umpires will resolve rules interpretation. Tournament director has final decisions on issues that are not resolved on the field

    2. Poor sportsmanship and profanity will not be tolerated. At the umpire’s discretion, coaches, players, and fans may be ejected from games. Any fan, coach or player ejected will leave the playing field area. Failure to comply or 2 ejection’s per team result in forfeiture of remaining games and any trophies/medals.


    Player eligibility and other administrative forms:

    1. Players must not be over 11 years old prior to August 1, 2005

    2. Coaches must have proof of age (birth certificates) for all players available at check-in.
    Proof of medical release forms, team or league insurance affidavit must be presented at check-in.

    Seeding Criteria:

    Won Loss record, Head to Head, Runs allowed, Runs scored, Coin toss.

    Miscellaneous:

    1. Metal cleats are not allowed.

    2. LETS JUST ALL HAVE FUN OVER THIS WEEKEND.
