24-Hour Rule:   (Effective 2012) states that coaches and parents will not discuss a game or situation with a board member, referee, or a coach until at least 24-hours after the fact. This important rule does two things:
1) It moves the discussion away from the presence of our young players and cheerleaders
2) It allows all parties to have time to put things in perspective and "cool off" if necessary

 2013 Rules Revisions:

  •  Hurdling:  Player with the ball cannot leave their feet to avoid deflagging or to gain additional yardage.   This is at the discretion of the referee.  Play is blown dead and ball is spotted at spot of infraction.
  • 28 Point Rule:
    • There will be a running clock.
    • The leading team will have to play all four downs (no passing, no punting)
    • The leading team will replace its starting positions (quarterback and running back) and placed into secondary positions – not within the backfield.
    •  After two attempts the losing team of 28 or more points does not succeed past their own 25 yard line, the ball will be spotted at the opposing team’s 25 yard line on the third offensive attempt.
  • Live Ball for Kick-offs and Punting:
    • Kick Off:  All ten players must line up with the ball (no running start) to avoid sliding into one another
    • Kick Off: On an on-side kick, two must remain on one side of the kicker, while other eight players may be lined up on the “strong side.”
    • Punting:  Only a ball caught in the air can be advanced by the receiving team.  If the ball touches the ground, it is deemed a dead ball, and whistle will be blown – spotted as a dead ball foul. (Revised Aug. 2014)  This rule is for the Junior Division Only.
