DREAM CIRCLE
YOUTHS and YOUNG Adults are one step closer to Reaching their Dreams as a result of the mentorship and motivation received from Professional and Aspiring Professional athletes that volunteer; Professional and Aspiring Professional athletes reach their Dreams by being exposed to job opportunities. The journey begins at age 8 with a Dream and Continues to Adulthood with clarity and vision.
YOUTH (AGES 8-14)
CAMPS & CLINICS
Underprivileged children are invited to spend one to five days with an experienced staff of coaches who train them in the fundamentals of basketball including dribbling, passing, ball handling, shooting and defense. With a ratio of one coach for every eight kids, youths and young adults around the world have greatly benefited from these camps. In addition to teaching basketball, each coach serves has a role model and mentor. Coaches are taught to develop mentoring relationships and track the progress of every child’s development. Camps are held at various facilities with equipment, uniforms and meals provided. The success of these programs continues to be supported by a dedicated staff, numerous volunteers and generous donations.
AAU TRAVEL TEAMS
Junior High School basketball athletes are exposed to the highest level of competition for their age group in the United States. Twice per month, teams travel to tournaments across the country, showcasing their talents and skills on the basketball court. Tournament participation has included stops in Portland Oregon, Las Vegas, Reno, Virginia Beach, Tennessee, Florida, New York, Houston and Indiana to name a few. Tournament participation in the United States concludes each season with the AAU version of March Madness.
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL TEAMS

Junior High School basketball athletes are exposed to the highest level of international competition for their age group. International tours and tournaments are setup for our young stars to travel abroad to experience a cultural exchange with young students and athletes from across the globe.
Mentor Program
DBI organizes a monthly mentor program in which young athletes are invited to engage in life development sessions with volunteer business men and woman. Participants are enlightened in the areas of business, academics, financial and family planning, politics and more.
YOUNG ADULTS (AGES 15-18)

High school and college aged young adults are exposed to high level training camps and clinics. DBI believes that a child should have proper guidance throughout the process of development. The kids who make a decision to Dream about becoming a professional Athlete as a great deal of responsibility to manage. Players at this age are taught that their contribution to the world should not be focused on a slam dunk or a 3 point shot. Becoming good at anything is a gift from God and athletes learn to use that gift to make the world a better place for generations to come. DBI promotes Spiritual Development, Community Service, Education and Family.

ASPIRING PROFESSIONALS (AGES 19-Up)
PROFESSIONAL TOURS
College and Semi-professional Athletes travel across the United States and abroad to participate in exhibition games with professional teams. Over the past decade DBI has visited China, Europe, South America and the Middle East. The team plays a rigorous 10 game schedule over the course of 16 days of travel. "DBI - American Dream Builders" as we are known around the world has played against some of the top professional basketball teams in the world.
These tours are used to expose the young athletes to a professional environment. It is compared to an internship or “on the job training.” DBI takes the time to not only help them learn how to play as a professional but the players are put through a comprehensive life enrichment program designed by Dr. George Bell, executive Vice President of Men’s Ministry at the Union Rescue Mission, where athletes are challenged not to just Dream but to plan for that Dream which will allow it to Turn into Reality.
Spiritual Development, Budgeting, Community Service, Education, Family Responsibilities, Dealing with Success and much more are covered in this life changing experience. The program is expense free. Players are however encouraged to volunteer their time to helping children in our AAU youth basketball program.
DBI becomes the institution that helps young adults pursue their ultimate dream of becoming a professional.
EXPOSURE CAMPS
DBI organizes exposure camps for aspiring professionals who have a desire to be seen by talent scouts around the world. Scouts from Europe, Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Australia select players that may be good enough to play as professionals in their country. Exposure camps are held in various locations in the USA.
GIVING BACK
Players who participate in our Aspiring Professionals program are encouraged to donate time towards helping young adults and youth in our mentor program.
