Meet Legendary coach Joe Frappolli...
Frappolli's overall record 236-101-5. South Jersey's All Time Leader in Career Coaching Victories.
Florence Township Memorial High School has been blessed with players that understand that hard work and discipline is a lethal combination for the opposition. It is Florence's Joe Frappolli that instills this work ethic and character in his players. Joe Frappolli has been head coach of the Florence Flashes for the past 34 years and currently is South Jersey's All-Time winningest coach.
In his time at FTMHS he has amassed more career victories than any other coach in South Jersey history. He collected his Burlington County record breaking win in 1998 and has continued to add to his legend ever since. In 2007 he broke Delsea's John Oberg record for career wins by a South Jersey coach. In his 34 years at the helm he has collected 17 championship seasons. In 1985, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 he coached his team to Sectional Championships. In 1994, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006 his Flashes finished with the best record in Burlington County. In 2003 the Flashes were voted the #1 team in all of Burlington County(all groups included). From 2003 through 2005 Frappolli led Florence to their only 3 undefeated and untied seasons in school history going 36-0 in the process. That streak reached 43 games before being defeated by Parachial Power House Holy Cross in 2006. Twice in his historic coaching career has Frappolli won 4 consecutive Freedom Division Championships, including his current streak of 7 in a row. Frappolli has put Florence football on a higher plateau compared to other high school football programs.
In 1997 NFL Films took notice of his program's prestige and aired a special on his Florence Flashes. They highlighted his team's work ethic, determination, and discipline. They showed the rest of New Jersey why Florence is lucky to have been blessed with coach Joe Frappolli. Frappolli has turned Florence's football program into one of the state's most elite programs and finest traditions around. The man bleeds blue and gold and we as a community thank him for everything he has done for us.
"Once a Flash, Always a Flash"~~~Coach Joe Frappolli.
Coach, you will always be remembered as the father of the Flashes Football program.
