Tryouts \ Workout with the Long Island Sliders - The Long Island Sliders 12U Travel Baseball Team has roster spots available for the 2009 Season.
The team is looking for players and families willing to commit to the demands of travel baseball. If your interested in trying out for the team, please send an email to scottsnwo@gmail.com or call (718) 470-6620.
Eligible players birthday's must be between May '96 and April '98.

The Long Island Sliders of Floral Park completed their first season together as 2006 NJBL 9U National Division champs. This group of boys came together and worked hard through tryouts and practices all summer long.
The coaching staff instilled fundamentals and team defense as its main goals. The boys played their positions extremely well and knew where to be on the field at all times. And when the pitching needed some backup, the team flashed their leather and made all the plays.
The team also swung their bats with force. Their success at the plate was due mostly to their patience. The boys worked hard at each plate appearance being aggressive with pitches in their zone.
Overall, it was a learning and exciting first season together. With hard work, common goals can be achieved. And along the way new friends can be made.
Congratulations Team......Looking forward to the seasons ahead.
