WHAT DO WE DO?
Optimist Clubs are serious about "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" and do their part through community service programs. Miami Lakes Optimist Club is autonomous and run by members in our community voluntarily. Optimists have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of their community in any way they see fit. The Miami Lakes Optimist Club see a need in their community and react to it. We have Baseball, Softball, Basketball for Girls and Boys, Football & Cheerleading, Journalism Club, Scholarship opportunities, and Contests.

HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE OPTIMIST CLUB?
Fill out the Miami Lakes Optimist Membership Form. It must be accompany by a sponsor member's signature, and payment fee of $75.00 dollars a year. You may drop it off at the board meetings held the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at Miami Lakes Middle School at 8 PM.
Becoming a member brings you the opportunity to assist on a multitude of club activities such as coaching, assisting in sport events, participating in club events, etc. If you would like to get more information regarding our membership please call our Club President, Jim Hamilton at 305.216.9615.
