We finished 1-1 in a rain shortened NIT May 1st at Expressway. We started off the tournament with a 17-6 win over McGuffy's Pub out of Dayton, OH. We were matched against Winghouse out of Akron, OH next. Our sticks were not there as we lost a close one 5-3. Our next matchup was supposed to be against Jefferson Roofing in the losers bracket but mother nature shortened the tourney. Sunday morning the loser bracket was dropped and only the winner bracket was too be played if weather permitted.

    5/8 D Qualifier @ Rivershore
We finished 2-2 in a D Qualifier at Rivershore this weekend. We ended up taking 3rd place for the tourney. We opened up laying a egg against Mount Trent Masonry 16-3. They jumped out early 9-0 after the first and coasted after that. The big loss that game was an injury to the "Chief". He ended up fracturing(slight) his leg. He will be missed for 4 weeks. We then rebounded and beat the eventual tourney champs, Hofrabraus 20-13. After that big win, we tried walking through our next game and did not wake up until late, in losing to Electric Masters 15-5. We finished the tourney with a 11-8 victory over Our Place Too. We played the tourney without are 3-4-5 hitters and without our number 2 hitter for the last two games. Overall not a bad showing, the good news is that Jeremy Newberry (attending police academy) our leadoff hitter last year, played his first full tourney with us and will be playing a little more with us the rest of the year.

    5/22 D Qualifier at Riverstar
We finished 3-0 in a D Qualifier at Riverstar this weekend. This tourney win was big, as it was our first of the seasons. We run ruled every team, outscoring our opponents 60-14. First game we started off against the Wiffleballers. We put up 4 runs in the first and second. We then finished it off in 5 innings 13-3. We were then matched against BW3's/Team Extreme. We put up 7 runs the the top of the 1st agains them. We hit well all game and ended up winning 22-6 in five innings. We finished the round robin up against the Redneck Auto. They are a young team and fought hard, but were shorthanded playing with only nine. With a 15-5 victory over them in 5 innings we brought our overall record this year to 1-2, playing against teams with nine people. Overall the team played hard and hit all day long.
