PHILOSOPHY
DRAGONS BASEBALL should be fun to play, fun to watch and fun to support. Young men are developing before our very eyes and responsibility to promote and develop the individual DRAGONS players physical fitness, baseball skills and mental approach. This will be done by example in exercising the spirit of TEAMWORK at all three levels of the 2007 DELAWARE DRAGONS BASEBALL TEAM.

ORGANIZATION
The view of success for the 2007 DRAGONS will be assessed with a broader scope than wins and losses by the DRAGONS players this season. TOTAL TEAMWORK at all three levels of the ORGANIZATION is a mandated REQUIREMENT. The three levels of the 2007 DELAWARE DRAGONS BASEBALL are as follows:
1) The DELAWARE DRAGONS Board and Coaching Staff
2) The DELAWARE DRAGONS Support Staff
3)The DELAWARE DRAGONS Players
The roles of each of these levels is outlined and are dependent on each others ability to operate in the spirit of TEAMWORK within each levels own set of guidelines.

GUIDELINES
DRAGONS BOARD - Will be responsible for determining the budget, setting the roster, setting the playing/practice schedules and obtaining practice venues. The budget has been set using the cost of uniforms, sanctioning registration fees, tournament fees, insurance costs, league fees, umpire costs, team operation costs and equipment costs. The Treasurer will submit on a monthly basis a financial statement of the DRAGONS incoming and outgoing funds. The Manager will direct Tournament fee payment, insurance and sanctioning requirements, league entry and umpire fees, and uniform/equipment payments. The Board will be solely responsible for setting and maintaining the philosophy and agenda of the 2007 DRAGONS via a majority vote among its members. Any/all ties will be broken by the Manager.
DRAGONS COACHING STAFF - Will be solely responsible for the positioning and batting order of the DRAGONS lineup. The Coaching staff will set and carry out the agenda for all practices. They will be the custodians of ensuring that the players on th field and off where assembled as the Dragons Team act with repect, consideration and dignity exemplary of the privilege of being a member of the DELAWARE DRAGONS BASEBALL ORGANIZATION.
DRAGONS SUPPORT STAFF - The DRAGONS Website Manager will communicate all practice, game, tournament and event scheduling via the DRAGONS WEBSITE. All parents will be required to participate as Fund Raising Staff in some capacity. The Fundraising Chairs will set up needs for each and every events. Parents will be solicited and credited for their participation.
The Fundraising Committee has already begun to work on other Fundraising Events that will allow for equal supporter participation opportunities that can raise money to offset the individual Dragons Player yearly costs.

THE 2007 DELAWARE DRAGONS SEASON
The 2008 season officially starts on June 1, 2008. The Board was formed and duties set. Phone calls were made to all 2006 remaining Dragons Families and asked their status for the 2008 season. Some have moved on. We wish them luck and success. The Coaching Staff was formed and the roster reviewed. New players have been and will be invited to the Dragons based on the Coaching Staff's evalualtion of current and outstanding needs. The Board and Coaching Staff have met several times and evaluated the previous season both organizationally, and player based.
Team philosophy and goals were discussed and set allowing a concise agenda for this season to be set. Equipment and Uniform needs were listed. Desired play requirements were set and the costs of that play determined so that a budget could be created. Last years budget was a driving force in setting this years budget. A payment schedule will be made to cover the operating costs adequately through the entire 2007 season. The Dragons family members were held in high consideration in making this payment schedule that is to be followed and met by all of the Dragons Team.
Every individual of the DELAWARE DRAGONS BASEBALL ORGANIZATION is a custodian of the Dragons Philosophy and is expected to help each and every other of it's custodians maintain the Dragons Philosophy without malice, or personnel desires as an impetus. Boards direct, Coaches coach, players play, and Parents support. It is the players season but the parents carry the greatest burden to make it the most successful season for all of the DELAWARE DRAGONS BASEBALL TEAM. The following policies and procedures are the map that we feel can help guide us to a most successful Dragons season.
