Welcome to the Home Page for the Scripps Ranch Little League Youth Umpiring Program. Scripps Ranch Little League offers one of the best youth umpire programs in Little League and if you are not already involved, we invite you to become a part of it. The program provides umpiring opportunities each year to school age youth during both the regular Little League season (March-June) and Fall Ball season (September–November). SRLL youth umpires get to develop a sense of responsibility, learn the rules of baseball, and earn money. The purpose of this page is to provide you with information about the program, including instructions on how to participate.

Each registered umpire will be notified via email by 9/10/09 which division (or divisions) he will be working this fall. Please contact the Umpire in Chief if you haven't received this notification.

 

The divisions this fall will be:

MAPs -- will play at Dingeman field #1

Lower Minors -- will play on J-8

Upper Minors -- will play on J-10

Majors -- will play on J-9

Thanks to all our Fall 2009 umpires for attending our clinic. I hope it was a good refresher for our returning umpires, and a good introduction for our new umpires. Games are starting right away so those of you who will be umpiring this first weekend will be notified via email by 9/10/09. I'll distribute the remainder of the schedule as soon as I'm able to get it assembled. There are a lot of variables to account for so don't count on seeing it before 9/16/09.

 

Please notify me as soon as you are aware of a conflict with your schedule so I can get someone to take your place and also hopefully schedule you for another slot.

Please familiarize yourself with the rules in the following document. They're short and sweet and generally follow the green book and our local rules. Where there are differences these rules win. Note that these rules do not apply to the Lower Minors division since that division does not compete outside of Scripps Ranch.
