Divided loyalties hinder people. Sharing your disapproval of a coach with your children puts them in a bind. Conversely, when parents support a coach, it is easier for children to put forth maximum effort. If you think your child's coach is mishandling a situation, do not tell your child. Ask for a meeting with the coach.

I would play in the pouring rain, in a foot of snow, in the dark, in the heat, in the middle of the street with an old flat ball. I would play with my friends or my worst enemies. I would play barefoot with a broken arm, a sprained ankle, or a torn ACL. I would play in a stadium packed with people or in the quiet of my own backyard. I would play if you paid me, or if I had to pay you. I would play anywhere, anytime, against anyone. Just give me a ball and I'll give you a game...
