| 2009 Forsyth County Youth Football and Cheerleading |
| Come experience the wonderful world of youth football and cheerleading in Forsyth County! We offer recreational football and cheerleading for ages 5-13. We promote good sportsmanship and fun while learning the fundamentals of football & cheerleading. |
| The season will run from August 1st thru the week before Thanksgiving |
The age control date is September 1 for cheerleading
Cheerleading Divisions will be 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11, 12, 13 |
| For the 2009 Season, the FCYFA will use a grade base system for football |
| K & 1st Grade: associated age is 7 or younger on August 31st (must be 5 year old by August 31st to play) |
| 2nd Grade : associated age is 8 or younger on August 31st |
| 3rd Grade : associated age is 9 or younger on August 31st |
| 4th Grade : associated age is 10 or younger on August 31st |
| 5th Grade : associated age is 11 or younger on August 31st |
| 6th Grade : associated age is 12 or younger on August 31st |
| 7th & 8th Grade: associated age is 13 or younger on August 31st |
| Note: If you are older than the age associated with your grade, you must play up to the next grade or to the grade that is associated with your age. You can not play below your grade level. Grandfather clause will be allowed where the following applies: A 13 year old who would be able to play with an August 1st birthday and cannot play due to this change he can play this year in the 12/13 – 7th & 8th grade division |

| ALL DIVISIONS ARE UNLIMITED WEIGHT TO PLAY. With the following weights to carry the ball: |
| K & 1st grade - 70 lb limit to carry the ball; practice 2 nights per week (max 2 hrs, not past 8pm) |
| 2nd Grade – 85 lb limit to carry the ball; practice 2 nights per week (max 2 hrs, not past 8:30pm) |
| 3rd Grade – 95 lb limit to carry the ball; practice 2 nights per week (max 2 hrs, not past 8:30pm) |
| 4th Grade – 105 lb limit to carry the ball; practice 3 nights per week (max 2 hrs, not past 8:30pm) |
| 5th Grade – 115 lb limit to carry the ball; practice 3 nights per week (max 2 hrs, not past 8:30pm) |
| 6th Grade – 125lb limit to carry the ball; practice 3 nights per week (max 2 hrs, not past 9:00pm) |
| 7th / 8th Grade – Unlimited weight; practice 3 nights per week (max 2 hrs, not past 9:00pm) |
