Coach Wilkerson took his high school team to an Indiana High School State Championship in 1993, went on to be named Gatorade Player of the year ( GATORADE PLAYERS OF THE YEAR INDIANA ), and Indiana All-Star (voted as Indiana Mr. Basketball), and was part of the McDonalds All-Americans with players Rasheed Wallace and Jerry Stackhouse.

Sherron went on to play basketball on a D-1 level under Coach Bob Knight, and later traveled to Europe and Israel to play professional ball for 11 years.  After retiring as a player, Sherron returned home, and has honored the Sharks by taking the position as Head Coach for the 2010 Sharks Select.  A very talented group, with several D-1 level athletes in the squad.

Sherron's future goals are to be the Head Coach for a Division One College in the near future.  Let's hope he can continue to Coach a few of his Sharks players through their college careers!
