AA, AAA & MAJOR EVALUATIONS

CLICK HERE to view the dates and times for player evaluations for league age 8-12 year-olds evaluating for the AA, AAA and Major baseball divisions for the 2015 Spring season.

What is an Evaluation?
Evaluations are held so that teams can be balanced as much as possible.  Managers and board members observe the players so that teams can be selected with a good mix of players.  Evaluations never cause players to be excluded from a team, it only helps distributing players amongst teams. If a player does not attend at least one evaluation, that player is not eligible for the season’s draft and may be placed on a waiting list.

At evaluations each player will be assigned a number and will be asked to complete a series of baseball skills.  The players will be rated by each SNLL managers and SNLL’s Player Agents.  Player drafts will be held after the final evaluation date, with each team’s manager and members of the Board of Directors in attendance.

The skill evaluations serves as an aide to the managers in the draft selection process.  The divisions are not age bound; rather, teams are selected based on a player’s talent level according to each team’s manager.

What to Bring to Evaluations:
Players should be prepared and dressed as if it were a scheduled game.  Each player should bring a glove, bat, helmet and cleats.  All male players must wear an athletic cup for protection.
