2006 Season
The 2006 season was certainly a memorable one, as the Cougars returned ti the Texas State Playoffs for the first time since 2002. Franklin finished the season with a 24-6 record and ended the year with a 2nd place District 1-5A finish, three tournament championships, and a bi-district championship.
Mike Marshall, Matt Elliott, Nick Hinojos, Mario Rodriguez, and Josh Blanco all received All-Disdtrict honors, as well as, All-City recognition. Matt Elliott was named most valuable player of the Hyundai Bel Air Invitational. On the mound, Franklin was led by Mike Marshall, who went 6-2 with a 1.92 ERA. Josh Blanco was equally impressive, pasting a 6-1 record.
