2023 Mid Valley Teener League Fall Ball Rules

 

The Mid Valley Teener League Fall Ball program is comprised of several local leagues.  Its main goal is to provide developmental baseball to all participants.  The following abbreviated rules shall apply to the fall season only.  

 

  1. Games will be played 7 innings or until darkness. 
  2. Pitching rules apply according to each player's 2023 league age.
  3. Pitchers can not pitch more than 3 innings or 9 total outs per game. 
  4. Pitchers may be replaced as a pitcher and return later in a game to pitch, but can not exceed the 3 inning, 9 out rule.
  5. Teams will bat entire roster for every game.
  6. Teams may make free defensive substitution throughout the game.
  7. There shall be a 5 run limit per inning 
  8. There shall be no mercy rule for purposes of ending a game prior to 7 innings.
  9. Teams shall employ a speed up rule for catchers on base with 2 outs.
  10. Home teams shall schedule & pay the umpire.
  11. Junior teener bat rules apply, composite barrel bats must have the BBCOR or USA certified stamp.
  12. There shall be a flexible schedule and roster used throughout the season.  A schedule will be created but managers are allowed to mutually agree to change dates & times whenever needed. 
  13. Teams are permitted to use players from their league, not on the original roster, to fill vacancies during the season.
  14. No standings shall be kept for the fall.
  15. Managers are permitted to schedule additional games following the completion of the season.
  16. Managers may mutually agree to modify any rule listed above.
