Registration for Fall 2023

Blastball - Four and under

• Instructional clinic on learning the game of softball.
• No score and no outs.
• All clinics are at Bob Jones Softball complex.  

6U - Six and under

• Outs are recorded and score is kept.  
• Will now use an 11" safety ball.
• No strikeouts. If the player cannot hit the coach pitches, she will hit off the tee.

8U - Eight and under

• Pending coaching availability, the 8U league will be split into two 8UC divisions. (Developmental - Coach Pitch) and (Advanced - Coach Pitch).
  Catcher's gear will be required (Provided by SGSA for each team), and face masks are recommended on defense.
• No stealing is allowed.

10U - Ten and under

• Pending coaching availability, the 10U league will be split into 10UC (Developmental - Coach Pitch) and 10UK (Advanced - Kid Pitch).  
• 10UC - Modified kid/coach pitch. Coaches come in to finish the at bat once 4 balls are reached and hitter will keep strike count, no walks.  Same rules as previous seasons. Drop 3rd strike rule is NOT in effect.
• 10UK will be kid-only pitch (no coach pitch).  Walks, open bases, including stealing home. Drop 3rd strike rule is NOT in effect.  No friend requests for players on "K" teams.

12U - Twelve and under 

• Standard USSSA rules apply.
• Registration will start on waitlist pending player and coach availabilty.

15U - Fifteen and under 

• Standard USSSA rules apply.
• Registration will start on waitlist pending player and coach availabilty.

*Early Bird discount - Save $50 if registered by 6/30/2023 for 6U & up

*Late fee of $50 after 7/31/2023

**Refunds requested 2 weeks prior to coach look date are available less a non-refundable $50 administrative fee.  No refunds within 2 weeks of coach look date.

Fees cover the following items:

• Uniform - Jersey and pants/shorts 
• 10 game season
• 6U - Participation trophies
• 8U and up - End of season tournament
  • Trophies for 1st and 2nd place

Even though there will be two divisions for 8U and 10U, players will be put in the instructional or advanced division based on their skill level as determined during coach look. 

Below are the important dates, but please note some are still tentative until agreed upon by the Mid-Cities Interlock Committee

For questions about age group eligibility, please refer to the matrix below.  Player will be allowed to only register for the appropriate age divison as listed below.  If you would like your player to be considered for an older age division, please email the appropriate commissioner below.  By making this request, you agree to the following conditions:

"I acknowledge that my daughter has been placed in her age appropriate division for the upcoming softball season, however I would like my daughter to be considered for placement in an older age division.  I understand that this is only a request for consideration and that there is no guarantee that my daughter will be placed in the advanced age division.  I agree that the final decision will be made by the SGSA and that my daughter will be required to attend coach look but it may be necessary for my daughter to attend more than one age division coach look.  All decisions are final and not subject to appeal."
