YOUNG GUNS TAKE 2ND IN USSSA NIT!
The MIGHTY GUNS bounced back after failing to place last week. The GUNS mowed down 8 year olds like Coach Tony at a hot dog eating contest. The only foe that proved to be to much was the dragons. The boys played great and look forward to getting back to playing 7's. The staff will update you as soon as the weather breaks with the next conquest the Guns look to take on.

The Guns look to take another step foward this weekend. The Guns showed they can play with the 8's and look to bring the HOME PLATE back this year. As all the boys can remember first place gets a mini home plate with all the tournament info on it. This would look really nice next to last years STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY! The staff will do what it has to do to keep this team on track and focused. YOUNG GUNS!!!

The Guns hit a red light on Sunday. After 5 straight tournaments of bringing home hardware things came to a stop. The boys played well, but against 8 year olds that was not enough. We lost to the 2 top teams and had a good weekend overall. Back to work and another chance at some 8's this weekend at the same place. Roll On Guns!!!!
YOUNG GUNS WIN BIG!!!!
Your MIGHTY GUNS would not be denied. The mudcats went out and picked up a whole infield to try and defeat the MIGHTY GUNS! No chance. After getting snagged in a trot line 10 to 1 Saturday the mudcats went shopping for kids. Thats the difference in this staff. We coach what we got. 2 weeks off and then whos next? The staff will look for the next tournament with the best teams in it. Practice planned for Thursday if the weather permits. ROLL ON YOUNG GUNS!!!
Tigers Bite Again!!!
The Tigers continued their winning steak again this weekend.The 8u Nighthawks and the Edmond Tigers are the only teams that have beat the Mighty Guns more than once. Every other foe that has gotten the best of the Guns has lost in the rematch. On the flip side the MIGHTY GUNS have taken home a trophy in every tournament they have entered. They are a perfect 4 for 4 in taking home hardware. Now lets start to turn seconds into firsts. As for now back to work. Practice Tuesday at 5:00. Stats updated and pictures on the way. YOUNG GUN NATION!!!
Man Down!!!
Your Mighty Guns lost a huge piece of the puzzle lastnight. As if the lose to the tigers was not bad enough Izack was injuried after the game. He had been nursing a sore knee. And a little untimely horse play turned into a week off. Thats why we work different kids in different positions. We will have some one hold it down till he is healthy. Keep Izack in your prayers that the knee heals fast!!!
2nd Place At Tiderman Memorial!!
Your MIGHTY GUNS finished on fire this weekend. After a terrible start the GUNS started to catch fire and finished the weekend in 2nd. The edmond tigers pulled out a win after the GUNS took an early 7-4 lead. The final was 11-7. That was a great finish after a slow start. There were several teams in this one that we will see plenty of this season. Enjoy a couple of days rest and then its back to work. Practice Thursday at 5:00 at YOUNG GUN FIELD.Stats updated. Coach Tony Keeps It Real!!!

This is the reason this staff gets the most out of the boys. Instead of saying "yea we were the 3rd best 7 year old team" Coach Tony said "NO"!!! You were 4th best out of 4 teams. Not acceptable by the standards of this coaching staff. No excuses just more practice. The boys are going to shine after this staff gets them to play ball our way. Young Guns Struggle This Weekend!

What a difference a weekend makes. The boys were on top of the world last week and 7 foot under this weekend. The boys showed that they have the ability to play with anybody. The boys played lights out against the 8 year olds and like a T-Ball team against the 7 year olds. The boys will continue to improve and thats all the coaches ask. When these boys start to get consistant they will be very dangerous. The boys have 2 weeks to improve before their next outing. Hopefully from here on out we wont have to play anymore 8 year olds. Stats are updated. YOUNG GUN NATION!!!
We are the CHAMPIONS!
The MIGHTY GUNS took home their first championship of the short season today. The GUNS finished with a 3-1 record. The only blemish was to the 8 year old Wildfire team. The boys battled hard and tied things up in the top of the 5th. The Wildfire team put it away with 2 huge 2 out doubles to finish the game. The boys fought hard and the coaching staff will make the needed adjustments to continue to improve your boys. Next stop same place next weekend. Practice Tuesday at 5:00. ROLL ON YOUNG GUN NATION!!!

The Young Guns Drop The Hammer On Day One!
The first day of the season ends with the MIGHTY GUNS at 2-0. The GUNS came out shooting after a slow start. The boys gave up 6 runs in the first inning. After that they gave up a total of 3 runs over the next 8 innings! Tomorrow is the big day due to the fact that it will determine what place we take home. Hopefully we will have some warmer weather. We will see everyone there at 12:00. Roll On Young Gun Nation!!!
Boomtown Looks To Be On!!!!

Let the drum roll begin. It looks like the much anticipated season kick off will happen as planned. The Boomtown Kick Off will have us playing midday Saturday and Sunday. It looks like we will play at least 4 games. We need tournament money ASAP. Any questions contact Sunny or Jessica. Cage time will be important tomorrow so hopefully everyone will be there.
