May 24 Presented By: MSAA & OAC

Our new website address: www.ohioyouthrunner.org

In our relationship with youth runner magazine to promote Ohio athletes we have changed our website address to ohioyouthrunner.org. Ohio has some of the best young talent and coaches in the nation and we want to promote all of their hard work.

PARENTS, ATHLETES AND COACHES

PLEASE CONTINUE TO HELP US MAKE THE MIDDLE SCHOOL STATE TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS A GREAT EVENT FOR THE ATHLETES. PLEASE PRINT OUT SOME FLIERS AND PASS THEM OUT AT  ALL YOUR MEETS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

7th Graders & 6th/5th Graders:
We will be giving awards according to how you do against the other athletes in your grade. There will be 8th graders in your heat but we will go through all the results and give awards for Div 1 and Div 2. Please note we are not creating a separate division for those grades.

The idea behind the middle school state track & field championships is to allow ALL middle school athletes a chance to compete, have fun and make new friends. It is not about being the fastest athlete on your team, it is about giving ALL athletes a chance to experience competition a state level environment. Competition is about having a strong mind and strong body to achieve success whether that is placing or just breaking a personnel record.  HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK!

Track & Field Middle School Coaches

We are trying to build a database with all coaches email addresses. Please sign up for our E-mail newsletter, this is located on the bottom left hand side of this page. We will email you important information about the state meet and any other valuable information. Please make sure you will be able to receive emails from championships@ohioyouthrunner.org Thank you and we will see you in 2009.

Divisions and t-shirt deadline

If you don't know what division your high school is contact the coach he should know. Don't forget their is a team discount to find more information about this click on the registration link.

"Giving Young Athletes A Chance To Compete".

FUTURE STARS OF OHIO TRACK & FIELD

PARENTS

The Middle School Athletic Association Championships were designed to allow ALL middle school athletes a chance to compete statewide. These events give young athletes an opportunity to gain valuable exposure and experience. It also allows all athletes from the same school the opportunity to qualify for a state level competition.

We feel this is a great opportunity for young athletes to compete with other athletes from all around the state. This will give these athletes the tools they need to help them to continue to excel in their sport. Coaches we would like to get your input on how we can make our events an exciting time for both the athletes and the fans. If you have any suggestions please email us at championships@ohioyouthrunner.org

Reminder to all school coaches and athletes
This is a post season competition, and is permissible for middle school athletes provided that the school coach doesn't coach the athlete in preperation for this event or on the day of the event. You may run as a member of a school . This championship is not affiliated or sponsored by OHSAA.
