    Continues to develop into a devastating defensive end...solidified status as one of the Cougars' top defender with an excellent spring...is listed as the Houston starter at right defensive end heading into fall camp...only started three times but still led UH in both tackles for loss (18 for 70 yards) and sacks (nine for 48)...almost 50 percent (47.4) of his total tackles were behind the line of scrimmage ...quick off the ball and strong at one-on-ones...wraps up at the point of impact and doesn't miss many tackles ...intelligent defender who is a big playmaker...should contend for honors this season...
    2002: Was a force in opposing backfields during the season ...led the Cougars with 18 tackles for a loss and added a team-best nine sacks for a loss of 48 yards...made at least one tackle for a loss in his final 11 consecutive games...recorded four tackles, forced two fumbles and added a sack against C-USA rival in his first appearance of the year during the Cougars' home opener...tallied two sacks and three tackles against Louisiana-Lafayette...posted three tackles for a loss of 13 yards and added a nine-yard sack at No. 3 Texas...made three tackles at UAB and added another tackle for a loss of three yards...posted a 10-yard sack with a quarterback hurry and added three tackles against Army...tied for team game- high honors with two tackles for a loss at Memphis...also added three tackles against the Tigers...continued to be a pest in opposing backfields against East Carolina...registered three tackles against the Pirates but two of those were sacks for a loss of 10 yards... recorded seven tackles with three solo stops and an 11-yard sack at Cincinnati...led team with three tackles for a loss against South Florida and added six tackles total against the Bulls...posted four tackles with a two-yard sack against Louisville in the season finale...
    Prior to Houston:...Was a preseason All-America selection at the College of DuPage...later picked up Honorable Mention All-America honors after sophomore campaign...was a two-time, All-Conference selection...grabbed All-Region, First-Team accolades as well...finished his JC career with 23.5 sacks and five blocked field goals...
    High School: Second Team, All-State defensive end as a senior in high school...also selected All-Conference on both sides of the ball...named All-Area...
