Charlestown, IN  Sept. 27 2016. - With a new season of baseball coming in the next few months. A new Little League Committee was formed on September 20th with elections and officers on that committee being voted and confirmed last night at the Charlestown Little League Field.  Robert Gullion was overwhelmingly elected to the President of the Little League Committee with no challenge. Speaking with Gullion he said " We had a good season and turnout last year and the year before, but Charlestown can be a powerhouse and more competitive with the other surrounding Little Leagues". He continued to say " I believe we have elected a great committee and I see us defining what kind of league we want and can be with this sport. The possibilities are endless of what we can do, but it will take a lot of effort for our committee, our volunteers, parents and our players to make this a success". Other positions were finalized on the committee and a list will be posted on the website and Facebook pages. The Little League is also looking for sponsors already to support the offset costs that the league inflicts throughout the year.
