This Thursday, July 24th, at 5pm PST the Diamond Supply Co. Public Skate Plaza will officially open to the public. We are celebrating the opening by inviting all of you out to celebrate and be the first to skate the Plaza with SLS & Diamond Pros. Come on out for a great time and tons of giveaways! This exciting new Plaza, located at Hazard Park in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, has been made possible by Diamond Supply Co., the Street League Foundation and the California Endowment.

The Diamond Supply Co. Public Skate Plaza at Hazard Park came to life after the Street League Foundation approached The California Endowment last year about working together to create healthy and sustainable communities by constructing safe, legal and accessible places for everyone to skate.

Through a grant from The California Endowment, the Street League Skateboarding Foundation donated $160,000 to the construction of a brand new skate plaza at Hazard Park, but needed to find a matching grant in order to effectuate the initial $160,000 donation. Nick Diamond, founder of Diamond Supply Co., generously donated the remaining balance for the completion of what will now be known as the Diamond Supply Co. Public Skate Plaza.

Seeing that the Plaza opens just two days before Stop Two of the 2014 Street League World Tour in Los Angeles inside the Galen Center at USC, we are in store for one heavy weekend! The competition is looking fierce as we head into Stop Two, and you don’t want to miss a minute of the action.
