The Hollenbeck Youth Center and Inner-City Games Los Angeles officially unveiled their competition basketball court with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Dwight Howard , Lakers youth Foundation, OneWest bank and Hollenbeck Youth Center’s President Daniel L. Hernandez dedicated the new court at the Hollenbeck Youth Center along with all the youth who attended . The new basketball court was made possible by the generous donations from the Lakers Youth Foundation and the OneWest Bank Foundation. The new court was officially broken in by an organized basketball clinic administered to over 70 youth.

For over four decades , the Hollenbeck youth Center has opened their door to hundreds of thousands of youth and their families . Within these forty years , Hollenbeck’s original basketball court has had generations of use and it has received its wear and tear as a result . Under Hollenbeck’s Capital Campaign, OneWest Bank and Lakers Youth Foundation have generously “stepped up” to provide the funding for replacement of the completion style basketball court that services so many youth and such an integral part of the daily services . Saturday’s dedication unveiled the recently completed floor and allowed the community to share in the thanks to the generous sponsors making this possible.

Hernandez , have provided safe and quality after-school recreational, educational , and entrepreneurial programs for the past 21 and 41 years respectively. The partnership forged between Inner-City Games and Hollenbeck Youth Center has given thousands of disadvantage and at risk youth a second opportunity and become productive members of society.
