Locally, DeMar DeRozan, the Compton High School grad for USC, was taken ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors.

Going next was point guard Brandon Jennings to the Milwaukee Bucks. Jennings spent his first two years of high school at Dominguez and his last two at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. He played professionally in Italy this year.

UCLA point guard Jrue Holiday was taken 17th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers.

Another Bruin point guard, Darren Collison, was taken 21st by New Orleans.

USC forward Taj Gibson went 26th overall to Chicago.
