Lavell Thompson and Alexander Flatos continued to run wild on teams, this time against previously undefeated Eagle Rock in the City Division II quarterfinals. Thompson rushed for 168 yards and a TD on 16 carries and Flatos carried 23 times for 148 yards and two scores. James Shaw III added 51 yards and a score on five carries as South Gate (7-5) rushed for 405 yards as a team. South Gate will play Granada Hills (7-5) in the semifinals next week. Granada defeated Grant, 37-6 to advance.
