Barrales Signs Deal With Fairbanks

Barrales Signs Deal With Fairbanks INGLEWOOD, Calif. (February 25, 2008) -- Another day, another Blackhawk is headed to the league. Blackhawk offensive lineman of the year, Robert Barrales signed a contract Saturday to play with the expansion Fairbanks Grizzlies of the Intense Football League. Barrales is the 6th Blackhawk player since the end of the 2007 season to sign with a paid professional league. Barrales joined the Blackhawks last season coming from Clark University in Atlanta Georgia. He was by far one of the most physical players in the league with a mean streak that any coach would love. His play in 2007 also earned him All American honors as well as being chose as a LCFL all-star this past season. Barrales is excited about joining the Grizzlies but at the same time excited about the 2008 season with the Blackhawks. "When I get back I'll be in better shape than last season and ready to bust some heads" stated Barrales. I want to thank coach Tony Reid for the work he has put in to get me to the IFL. The Blackhawks would like to say congratulations on your first of many big accomplishments.
