What is Start Smart Basketball?

Start Smart Basketball is a program created by National Alliance for Youth Sports and teaches children (ages 3-5) the basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents.  The program focuses on teaching children and their parents skills in dribbling/ball handling, passing/catching, shooting and running/agility without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt.

What are the appropriate ages for Start Smart Basketball?

Start Smart is for ages 3-5 but can be used as late as 7 years of age.

What is the Start Smart setup?

There will be 1 Instructor to every 10 parent-child groups

How long is each weekly session and what is the cost?

Start Smart is a one-hour a week, 6-week program and it costs $100
