Ron Clemente Rejoins Braves
Park Ridge, New Jersey – Park Ridge Braves General Manager Rich Durso announced today that former Park Ridge Marlin player and assistant manager, Ron Clemente, will be rejoining the team for the 2007 season.
The team, now known as the Park Ridge Braves, was co-founded by GM Durso, Clemente, center fielder extraordinaire Rocky Panetta and the late Dave Singer in 1997 and plays it's games in A League of Our Own. Clemente returns to the team after a two year hiatus and is ready to resume his influential role on the Braves.
“It’s great to have Ron back where he belongs”, said GM Durso a recent interview. “Ron has been an integral part of the Marlins for many years, and we’re all happy to see him back again. His presence was sorely missed on the field and in the dugout.”
Ron was a solid part of the offensive and defensive force behind the Marlins for many years, with his steady play at third base, along with respectable offensive numbers which were consistent throughout his tenure with the Marlins.
GM Durso expects Clemente to be ready for opening day, April 1, in a game with the always-competitive Pequannock Yankees.
