Weinstein has "Father's" Day-Dodgers Pound Listless Braves
The Braves bats went silent once again, and the Dodgers scored 6 runs in the 8th inning powered by three home runs. It was a well pitched game on either side until the 8th, when the first two Dodger batters homered on consectutive pitches. Starter Mark Van Overloop was relieved by Rick Bedford in the 5th inning with the score 3-0, with the Dodgers scoring 3 runs on Braves errors. Tim Kenny finished the game pitching the 8th and 9th innings.
Scott Weinstein provided the Braves' offense going two for three and driving in the only two Braves runs. This was the second consective Father's Day when one Braves player supplied all the Braves offense. Last year, Chris Cichorek's 3-run homer produced the only runs in a 5-3 loss to the Cubs.
