Durkin's Complete Game Victory Leads Braves over D-Backs
Tom Durkin (1-1, Save, 5.49) pitched a complete game victory as the Braves beat the Diamondbacks 7-6 at Sulak Field. Tom scattered 10 hits, any of them hard luck hits which either found holes of landed in front of the Braves outfielders and 3 walks over 9 innings as he kept the D-backs off balance all day,
Al Bracuti scored three times on a single, double and triple before flying out to deep right center field in the 6th inning after fouling a ball off his foot, just missing hitting for the cycle. Rich Durso and Tom Durkin doubles drove in two runs in the first inning. Victor Nieves drove in two runs. While Dan Mazzilli’s triple in the 4th drove in two runs before Chris Cichorek drove him in with his team leading 8th RBI.
