Panetta Drives in Sole Braves Runs
Rocky Panetta drove in the three sole runs as the Braves troubles continue as the Diamonbacks pounded out 6 runs on 7 hits in the first inning to gain a win over the Braves 13-3. The Braves managed only seven hits over a mercy-rule shortened game.
The Braves bats fell silent as it took them until the fourth inning to gaim their first base hit.
The defense tightened up a bit, commiting only three errors. There was a rare 9-6 double play which earned Chris Cichorek his team high 9th outfeild put out and 4th outfield assist. A defensive gem at first base by Scott Weinstein in the 7th prompted manager Rich Durso to compare him to Mo Vaughn.
