This past weekend the Bulldog Baseball Club 8U team competed in the All World Ready to Rumble NIT Tournament in Fremont. In spite of only having 3 practices under their belt, the young Bulldogs put up a strong performance and finished with a 1-2 record.

Pitching was spearheaded by Dallas West, Jaiden Oldwin, Wyatt Marino and Kenneth Neubert. Big bats came from Derek Pickel with multiple extra-base hits and Ethan Thompson with a base-clearing long ball. Defense was highlighted by the catcher/ shortstop combo of Corey Carrington and Aidan Johnson, teaming up to nail 2 opponents trying to steal 2^nd, as well as Travis Bender in right field, gunning out a baserunner at third trying to leg out a triple. Connor Golden provided solid defense and multiple assists, while Tanner Boyd got aggressive on the bases, swiping bags and making things happen for the offense.

A huge thank you to the parents, family and friends who made the trek to Fremont to support these young men in their first tournament of the season. Please join us in Concord on June 27^th and 28^th as the 8U Bulldogs attempt to take home their first tournament championship.
