The Wylie Basketball Association exist to provide an equal opportunity for each participant to learn the game of basketball. The WBA offers recreational leagues for boys and girls in grades 1st through 6th and instructional camps for Kindergarten.

PRACTICE SCHEDULED CHANGE: None at this time
PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR PLAYERS IN THE GYM UNTIL YOUR START TIME, EVEN IF THE GYM IS UNLOCKED.
WBA has a "NO REFUND POLICY" - NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER OCTOBER 31, 2008 FOR WINTER 2008-2009 SEASON.

Lil' Dribblers Jam Session
Lil' Dribblers Registration begins in October!
WBA offers a mini camp for our Kindergarten. There will be no games for the Lil' Dribblers Jam Session, we will be teaching fundamentals and basic skills.
Jam Sessions will be taught by board members and coaches of the season. We will use the fundamentals and basic skills in all our sessions. Jam Sessions will be 1 night a week for 4 weeks for 60 minutes.
UPDATE TO LIL' DRIBBLERS
Lil' Dribblers Jam Session was a great success and will be an ongoing event for WBA. Lil' Dribblers Jam sessions will be held at COX Elementary FOR THE 2007-2008 season from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday for all Kindergarten's. There will be 1 session: (Session 1: Nov 26 - Dec 17)
Note: when WISD schools are closed we will not have Jam Session, just like league play. Space will be limited so first come first serve.

Important - Note to Coaches - Please Read
Game Day Info - Home team must provide a representative to run the game clock. Visitor team is responsible for reporting the score of the game to wyliebasketballassoc@yahoo.com by the next day (Sunday) at 2:00 p.m..
Home and Visitors team if you wear a t-shirt it must match your jersey color or no t-shirt at all.
Coaches should decide on a short color (preferrably black) and let their team know. All team members MUST wear the same color shorts.
Game scores must be reported by 10:00am each Monday via e-mail.

Note to Parents and Coaches
Please note the required game day attire.
We would like to express our appreciation to you for allowing your children to participate in our league. I would also like to remind each of you that you are examples to the children and WBA has a code of conduct that is in the Rules and Regulations under the Handouts Tab, that is there for the parents to read and follow as well as the children.
WBA reserves the right to remove any person from the gym or school (WISD)grounds during game day or practices should they express any unacceptable behavior. I would also like to let you know that since this is a community recreational basketball league, we extend to our community the opportunity for our children, in Jr High and Sr High, to work as Jr Referees and Official Score book keepers.
Please be courteous and if you have an issue or a concern, do not address it with any referee or score keeper, but please address it with your coach and/or e-mail us at wyliebasketballassoc@yahoo.com we are trying to help them learn skills that the children show an interest in. One day it could be your child.
