The Niagara League is the premier Over 35 True Modified Softball league in Pennsylvania. The league plays on the City of Erie fields, and plays mainly on Friday nights.
The league started in the late 1980's, with Len Hopkins first organizing the league. Bruce Baumann became the league president in the early 1990's. In the late 90's, Bruce went on to start the "Viagara League", now known as the "Codgers", an over 50 softball league, and handed the helm in 1999 over to current Niagara League president Dan Prichard.
The Niagara League became the ISA's (Independent Softball Organization) first modified league in the nation, debuting in 2002. In 2009, the Niagara League became affiliated with the NSA (National Softball Association).
