Ohio Youth Runner would like to congratulate all the athletes who competed in the 4th annual middle school state championships. It takes a lot of courage to compete with over 800 of Ohio's best middle school track & field athletes in the state. We had an exciting day, many records were broken and we crowned our first team champions. Please contact your local newspaper and have them do write up about the great accomplishments of all your athletes. For more information about results please click on results and records link…..Thank you!

7th Graders & 6th/5th Graders:
We will be giving awards according to how you do against the other athletes in your grade. There will be 8th graders in your heat but we will go through all the results and give awards for Div 1 and Div 2. Please note we are not creating a separate division for those grades.

The idea behind the middle school state track & field championships is to allow ALL middle school athletes a chance to compete, have fun and make new friends. It is not about being the fastest athlete on your team, it is about giving ALL athletes a chance to experience competition a state level environment. Competition is about having a strong mind and strong body to achieve success whether that is placing or just breaking a personnel record.  HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK!

FUTURE STARS OF OHIO TRACK & FIELD

PARENTS

The Middle School Athletic Association Championships were designed to allow ALL middle school athletes a chance to compete statewide. These events give young athletes an opportunity to gain valuable exposure and experience. It also allows all athletes from the same school the opportunity to qualify for a state level competition.

We feel this is a great opportunity for young athletes to compete with other athletes from all around the state. This will give these athletes the tools they need to help them to continue to excel in their sport. Coaches we would like to get your input on how we can make our events an exciting time for both the athletes and the fans. If you have any suggestions please email us at championships@ohioyouthrunner.org

Reminder to all school coaches and athletes
This is a post season competition, and is permissible for middle school athletes provided that the school coach doesn't coach the athlete in preperation for this event or on the day of the event. This championship is not affiliated or sponsored by OHSAA.
