Hello Everyone as you know we will be hosting the “12s” All Star Tournament at College Park beginning with the first 2 games on Saturday June 22nd at 5:30pm on Field 2 and 6pm on Field 1.  We need all All Star families to take this email and forward on or verbally reach out to your CLL Friends and Families. WORK DAY – June 19^th and June 20^th Evenings

College Park has the privilege to host the All Star tournaments between June 22^nd and July 3^rd.  In order to get the fields looking their best, we could use your help.  On June 19^th we will have a work day between 7pm and 9pm.  On June 20^th our work hours will be 4pm to 6pm.  If you have a leaf blower or shop vacuum and extension cords, please bring them.  The following work will be accomplished:

Repair Boxes and Mounds

·         Clean and Sweep Dugouts

·         Clean Batting Cages

·         Clean Bleachers

·         Warning Tracks

·         Rake, Pull Weeds

·         Organize all field boxes
Clean paint machines, throw away empty cans and organize tools

·         Pick up Trash 

·         Sweep, rake and pick up sunflower seed shells.

 

Game Day Assignments – For each game (See time slot of games on excel file)

Please contact me if you can take one of these roles on for an entire regulation game. Rules are more specific for All Star Tournaments and we can discuss further. We need to provide a person for every game to do the following:

 

1. Scorekeeper – Please contact me if interested

2. Pitch Counter – Please contact me if interested

3. Announcer – Please contact me if interested

4. Speaker system and Setup for scorekeepers and pitch counter behind home plate

5. Field maintenance crew before and after game – Please let Jenny Ballesteros know at jenny.b@claremontlittleleague.org   if you can help with Field Prep on any of the various games, that would be preparing and taking care of the fields after one of the games.  You would need to get there about 1 hour before.

 

Parking Lot Help

We will need to regulate the small parking Lot near field 1.  I will need an attendant at the lot near field 1 for VIPs (This will not be the whole time during a game, but 1.5 hour before game and into game start time).  Please let Jenny Ballesteros know at jenny.b@claremontlittleleague.org    if you can help.

 

Decorating/Tournament Board

Claremont Little League Hosting All Star Tournament at College Park

As many of you know, Claremont Little League will be hosting the District 20 “12 year olds” age group all-star tournament in a few weeks. The First games will be June 22nd, followed by two games every day through June 29^th (one of which is Claremont vs. Glendora National on Field 1) and another game on Field 2.  Claremont Little League is responsible for all aspects including cleaning and decorating of the park, field maintenance, snack bar staffing and operation, scorekeeping, pitch counting, and overall tournament organization.  Please come to the park on Wednesday June 19^th from 7pm – 9pm on field 1 and 4pm – 6pm on field 2 for our respective field clean-up days.  We plan to get this done in no more than 1.5 hours based on the number of volunteers. to look up the schedules of when the respective CLL team plays.  CLL will do their best to provide game reminders and score updates on the CLL Facebook Page and webpage.  The first Claremont Game will be Saturday, June 15^th when the Claremont AS Juniors Division Team plays at 12:30 pm at San Dimas Sportsplex in San Dimas. Come out and cheer CLL on!
