Please keep an eye out on email for specific dates, commitments and times for ALL-Stars

  • Majors All Star Tryouts (League age 11 and 12) are now at 11:30 on Saturday, May 16th
  • Minors All Star Tryouts (League age 9 and 10) are now at 6:00 on Monday, May 18th.

  • Players should wear their current team jersey, baseball pants, and should be properly equipped.
  • If a player has any conflicts for tryouts, they should communicate to either their coach.
  • Parents and players let us know if they have any conflicts with the tournaments:
  • 10U, 11U and 12U in Naples on June 12 - 14.
  • If the 12U team advances, players need to commit to playing in the State tournament in Palm Beach Gardens June 25 – 28.
  • If the 11U team advances, players need to commit to playing in the State tournament in Longwood, July 9 – 12
  • If the 10U Team advances, players need to commit to playing in the State tournament in Lakeland, July 9 - 12
  • If the 9U Team advances, players need to commit to playing in the State tournament in Sarasota, July 2 - 4

  • Any additional commitments will be communicated by the team Manager once the team is selected.
  • There are additional costs for All-Star team participation that the parents will need to incur (only if player is selected for an All-Star team).
  • We will determine how many teams and age groups after the completion of tryouts.  It is possible we may need a second tryout.
  • Players and parents should understand this is a competitive tryout and that not all players will be selected for All-Star teams.  However it is a great learning experience for all that tryout.

 LEAGUE NEWS

Here we grow again................

We are pleased to announce that we have registered over 240 kids this fall.   This number is up about 40% from our inaugural Fall Season in 2012.

Our registrations for this past spring were over 320 kids which was up from the Spring of 2012 by about 25%.  If you include our local High School Baseball programs playing under the Babe Ruth Banner we have nearly 400 kids playing in our organization!

In response to the growth we have already experienced, and the continued growth we anticipate; we were able to work with Collier County Parks & Rec over the summer to acquire more field and batting cage time.  We are please to announce that we will now have more field time at Veterans Community Park located at 1895 Veterans Park Drive, Naples, 34110 and field and batting cage time at Golden Gate Community Park located at 4701 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples, 34116.  We have also gained access to the batting cages at Veterans Community Park.

Synonymous with growth comes more work. The cages at Veteran's need to be updated, soft-toss stations to the fields, we are constantly looking for more equipment, balls and instruction equipment..

We now need your help. We are looking for volunteers to help with league operations. We need help with concessions, equipment, scheduling and fundraising. Please email us if you would like to know more about these positions or if you can assist in any of these areas.  Any small task is helpful.  Please be a part of making Naples Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Collier County's fastest growing youth sports organization - and doing it "The Ripken Way".

We are excited about the direction of our league and we are always looking for ways to improve. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please email the league at: naplescalripken@gmail.com
