    Braves Exploded for 11 runs, and solid pitching by Tom Durkin resulted in a Fall Season Opener win, the latest ever, for the Park Ridge Braves. Every Brave in the lineup had at least one base hit, with Victor Nieves leading the way with two doubles, a single, 3 runs scored, 1 RBI, and two stolen bases.

    The Braves batted around in the third inning, scoring 4 runs, highlighted by Ron Weiss's 2 RBI bases-load single.

    Tom Durkin worked 8 sensational innings, keeping the Padres to 4 runs over eight innings.
