Royal Football Club would like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year....
and all the best for the upcoming year
Royal Football Club mirror's a Professional Youth Academy in Europe, where the development of the player comes first and wins and losses are secondary. RFC's primary goal is to develop confident, technical, and tactical players that are passionate about the game. The concept of our Academy is to teach the kids, trainers, and parents the same philosophy throughout. This gives the continuity that can be shared at all the age levels. At this moment we have 5 Academy teams at the age U10 and the development teams under them ages U7, U8 and U9. They are all taught the same way so that kids can automatically fit into any team and under any trainer.
HBC Special Soccer and RFC Academy Kids enjoy fun and soccer together
RFC got together on November 3 with the HBC Special Soccer
The kids from RFC helped these special kids to enjoy the game of soccer and to give their parents a chance to watch their kids play the game and have some fun.
Thank you to everyone who came out to help with this event especially as it was a very cold morning
Kids Enthroned By Royal Football Tea
By Alessandra Malito / info@longislandernews.com
“I think it’s important for people to just interact together,” said Karen Haas of the Royal Football Club (RFC), an organization where youngsters play soccer. “I think it’s important for kids to see life.”
The children of the RFC had the opportunity to do so when they played with children with autism and down syndrome from throughout the Town of Huntington on November 3 at the HBC field in Huntington.
Drew Satnick, a 14-year old soccer player on the RFC, came up with the idea to have these two teams play together in a friendly soccer game. Not only did he brainstorm the idea, but also he completely organized it. He has worked with these kids before and “wanted to invite the other soccer players to help out too,” said Haas. After he invited the athletes of RFC, 25 to 27 kids turned up on that brisk morning.
In this game on November 3, scores did not matter. “We’re not about winning or losing,” Haas said. “There’s more to life than just playing a game and winning. You can do something through your sport.”
Instead of playing against each other, these two teams played together. The participants of RFC helped the group of special needs kids to play soccer. “[They] were holding their hand and guiding them so they could learn the game of soccer,” Haas said.
Not only did this game give the chance for the children on both teams to have a great and educational time however it gave the opportunity for parents to take a break and watch their children have fun.
All of the staff members who participated in the game were completely voluntary.
Along with playing various games, RFC loves to give their help to other communities. Similar to helping out in their community, they help out in others… even as distant as South Africa. They’ve given soccer equipment and outfits to children in South Africa.
“Within two days after sending out an email, the parents had organized it where we got all new soccer shirts and shorts,” said Haas. The shirts were also embroidered for free by Embroidery Masterwork by Simone & Company.
The children of RFC were also asked if they’d like to write a letter to the children in South Africa; thirty letters were written.
It’s always important for youngsters to be able to help their community and teach each other new experiences, said Haas. It’s evident that these children feel the same way.

Royal Football Club International Experience
In the past we have bought teams to and from England. We have held two International Tournaments at the Soccer Park in Long Island, New York.
W e are fortunate to have a great soccer relationship with Reading Football Club in England. With that relationship we are able to connect with teams from all over the UK and it enables Royal Football Club to bring teams from all age groups to Long Island to create the ultimate International Tournament. The feedback we received was tremendous. Everyone felt that the competition was very good and the experience for the kids all around was a good one.
As stated by a current staff member who competed in the 2000 event.
“ It was the best soccer experience”
Royal Football Club Travel
May 24, 2007
The Travel concept of Royal Football Club is to give youth teams, its parents and coaches the opportunity to come together in a total soccer experience.
Training methods.strategy plans and Individual player development are a part of the soccer experience. We believe the players gain enormous benefit from traveling together as a team and sharing their soccer experiences both in England and Holland and back in their home country.
The coaches also get a chance to see their players become stronger as a team and as individual players. This type of experience can benefit them in a number of ways such as: 1) helping them possibly for a future reference for college, 2) as a soccer professional and 3) it can be an important lesson for life.
You and your team will enjoy the prospects of being trained by highly qualified UEFA Coaches and they will be shown a training method that is used throughout England's top youth Academy sides.
We are now expanding our SOCCER ACADEMY TRIPS to Holland as of August 2007
Our next trip will be in FEBRUARY 2008...Please email us if you need help in planning your trip
If you and your team are interested in a great opportunity like this please email us at rfc.usa.uk@hotmail.com for more information...
