UNK Softball Camp
There is a softball camp at UNK July 22nd & 23rd, from 9:00am to 4:30pm. The cost is $60. All girls playing High School softball this fall that are interested in attending this camp should notify Mick Klein as soon as possible at 379-8621, or e-mail us here at the website. If there is enough interest the team will attend the camp.

Softball Summer Camp
The high school softball coach, Mick Klein, will be hosting a summer softball camp for players in 7th to 12th grade. The camp will be July 13-16, 2009 from 6-9 pm at St. Paul softball fields. The cost will be $10.00. The camp will help players develop individual and team offensive and defensive softball skills. There will be several drill stations and plenty of opportunities for practice, practice, practice. Monday will be on individual defensive skills, Tuesday will be on individual offensive skills and Wednesday and Thursday will be team skill days.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt as well. For a registration form which can be printed or submitted online, click on the link at the top right of this page called "Softball Summer Camp Registration". For more information, please contact Jennifer Smydra at 750-7398.
Field Scheduling
To schedule a game, please contact Jennifer Smydra at (308) 750-7398 so that your field can be reserved and prepared for play. Also, please let her know of ANY changes to your schedule (including cancelled games) so that the field can be available for others, or reserved in advance for your team. This is also very important for concession stand purposes, as the Summer Ball Association creates the concession stand schedule from the field schedule. Please be considerate and let us know if you cancel a game so that our volunteers don't show up to work when they don't need to. Thanks for you cooperation with this.
A final schedule will be available soon on the website for ALL teams that play ball in St Paul.
An updated copy of the field schedule will be posted each week at the concession stand.
As always, the city does a great job when there are rainouts by leaving a message on their answering machine at 2:00. You can call (308) 754-4005 AFTER 2:00 if you have a question about rainouts.
Batting Cage

Dewayne Barleen is again in charge of the batting cages this year. You can contact Dewayne at 754-4019 if you need batting cage keys or have questions.
Batting Cage Building
The building enclosing the batting cages is basically complete. The Summer Ball Association is working on some better lighting. This will enable use of the batting cages on a year round basis. The building was funded in part by the Summer Ball Association, the American Legion, the Little League Board, and by local donors. The city also provided some Keno funds. Donations are being accepted to install lighting in the building. Please e-mail us if you would like to make a donation and we can discuss with you how it can be a tax-deductible donation.
